Case studies

The challenge, the strategy and what happened.

Every brand here started somewhere different. Here's what was getting in the way, what we changed and what it led to.

Managed IT brand · Eugene, Oregon

The Nerd Stuff

An IT company that went from posting to no one to showing up in local feeds every week.

In 3 months · August to October 2026

  • 40xmore Instagram reach
  • 12xmore reach per post
  • 933engagements, up from 3 in the 3 months before
  • +79%Instagram followers
  • 3xlonger website visits from social

The challenge

The Nerd Stuff had been posting for years, and almost no one was seeing it. Most posts reached fewer than 10 people on Facebook and under 100 on Instagram. That's a tough spot for a company serving law firms, medical offices and contractors, where trust is everything. They had 125 years of combined experience and a 97%+ client retention rate, but their feed looked like a stock photo library.

What we did

We turned the questions their clients are already searching for, like what managed IT should cost and whether the cloud is safe, into short videos that show who they are before anyone picks up the phone.

"How much should IT cost?"
Kelly is warm, accessible, and has a real gift for making you feel comfortable in front of the camera. If you've ever felt awkward or stiff on video, she takes that pressure off and helps you come across as yourself.

Reynolds Electric, Plumbing, Heating & Air

A homeowner tips series that became the best-performing content on the account.

10 videos, posted weekly · June 10 to August 12, 2026

  • 56K+views across Instagram and Facebook
  • 9xthe Facebook views of the brand's other Reels
  • 4.4xthe Instagram views, and the account's 3 most-viewed posts in six months
  • +48%engagement per Reel on Facebook
  • 10,500+Facebook views on one video: "where's your water meter"

The challenge

Every post on Reynolds' feed looked like an ad: logos, graphics and polish that hid the people behind a trusted local company. Their first Reels still felt promotional, and nothing was pulling in new audiences without a boost.

What we did

We put their team on camera answering the everyday problems homeowners run into, like a tripping breaker, a hidden water meter or a clogged kitchen drain. The kind of help that earns the watch instead of asking for it.

"Don't put this down your drain"
The thumbnails, the captions and the videos were all very well done. I didn't expect anything less, but I appreciate you being a total pro and so easy to work with!

Nonprofit orchestra · Eugene, Oregon

Eugene Symphony

Three Opening Night Reels that became the account's best content in six months.

3 videos · posted October 14, 2026, the day before Opening Night

  • 25,600+views across the 3 Reels
  • 3xthe engagement of the account's other posts
  • 2.6xthe views of the account's other Reels
  • 249engagements on the "velvet seats" Reel, the most-engaged post in six months
  • 12,500+accounts reached by one video: the conductor singing to the orchestra in rehearsal

The challenge

Eugene Symphony's feed leaned on static graphics and mostly came alive around ticket announcements. The goal was to reach younger, first-time concertgoers who assume the symphony is formal, stuffy or not for them.

What we did

For Opening Night, we went behind the scenes at rehearsal, showed off the Hult Center and let the conductor answer the question every newcomer has: what am I supposed to listen for?

Coffee brand

The Human Bean

A 20-minute Reel that beat a $10,000 photo shoot, and the relatable content that followed.

Reels from May to October 2026

  • 378K+views across 24 Reels
  • 235K+accounts reached
  • +21%more views per Reel than the brand's typical Reel (giveaways excluded)
  • +19%more engagement per Reel than the brand's typical Reel
  • 40K → 100Kfollowers in one year

The challenge

I was part of a team that spent close to $10,000 flying a photographer and models to Arizona for a social shoot. The photos were beautiful, but the post got 159 likes on an account with 40,000 followers.

What we did

We tested something a whole lot simpler: a quick, relatable Reel with text on screen, a moment their customers see themselves in and a funny GIF. It took about 20 minutes and got 2,061 likes, about 13 times as many.

The 20-minute Reel
I love the way you've been weaving in the conversations we've been having about our direction for next year in the content concepts you've been suggesting. It totally feels like we're on the right track here.

Burley

27 Reels that brought in more than half of a national brand's views.

In 5 months · May to October 2026

  • 469K+views across 27 Reels
  • 292K+accounts reached
  • 3 of 4of the account's most-viewed posts in six months
  • 57%of the account's total views, from 38% of its posts
  • 2.2xthe average views of the brand's other posts

The challenge

Burley's organic reach had dropped 50% year over year. They were leaning on collaborations with creators, but weren't making any social shorts of their own.

What we did

We started creating Burley's own Reels, with toddlers, dogs and families out riding, while spotlighting the products they wanted to push, like the Hopper and the Bark Ranger.
